Join Aly MacLatchy & Ileana Gonzalez for this FREE event! Our human health is completely dependent on the rich variety of other than human life that we take in and support. Let's hike in silence to more reverently connect to the earth and to breathe diversity into our microbiome to empower our health! 

We will meet at the Ravens Rock Trailhead in Bluemont, VA at 9:00 AM and hike a section of the Appalachian Trail to a beautiful overlook in silence. The hike is rated moderate to strenuous in certain stretches so please plan accordingly. Bring water and possibly a snack. It should take a total of 4-5 hours including a rest to breathe in the view.

Chakra Tea & Yoga Retreat

Join me for a nourishing and restorative day of self study and exploration. This is such a perfect time for us to gather in practice to envision and cultivate inner and outer layers of ourselves. One month before our awakening into spring at the equinox, still held by the darkness of winter and inspired by the returning of the light. This time grants us greater access to our inner landscape and the call to skillfully choose what seeds we are planting. 

Saturday February 23 from 12-5PM, I will be leading a half-day retreat at BEAUTIFUL Ballentine Farms in Waterford, VA. Join me in carving out the TIME for intentional self-reflection and refinement within the framework of the chakra system. The 7 chakras that we will explore are the main energy centers in the body that express their harmonious frequencies or imbalanced vibrations in our lives through patterns of beliefs and behaviors that manifest physically, emotionally and spiritually. We will dive in through lecture and lively discussion, journaling from specific prompts, guided contemplations and meditations, all levels yoga practices with luxurious sound bowl savasanas, and specifically formulated herbal teas for each chakra.

Tea and infused water will be provided. If you need to bring food with you please feel free to bring a light snack.

Join me for this live webinar exploring some traditional herbs and foods proven to have physiological effects that warrant their classification as aphrodisiacs. Herbs can enhance our sex drive by addressing our stress, sleep patterns, hormone balance, reproductive health and our overall vitality. We will look at the the energetics of each plant and the way they uniquely act on our organs, tissue states and body/mind systems. Information on the fundamental patterns of common sexual challenges will be discussed and explained alongside the range of body/mind constitutions that each of us are governed by. Plants work by bringing our physical, energetic and spiritual bodies back toward harmony and balance. In this experiential workshop, we will learn about common (somewhat local) plants & “weeds" that can be taken internally or used externally to support healthy skin. To really dive in, we will give ourselves natural plant-based facials with a few of Gratefully Rooted’s topical care products and learn how to make products at home that you love! Simple self-care practices will be shared to enhance the way we engage with ourselves through our daily routines and each participant will make an organic herbal infused oil to take home.

Cacao Drink & Yoga Workshop!

Did you know that "cacao" in its origin meant "food of the gods"? Join me and Krissee (of Riversea Chocolate) for this experiential workshop for those interested in creating a deeper relationship to the life force of chocolate in its pure form. We will connect to our bodies and open our senses with through a gentle flow class that will lead us into the intentional preparation and ingestion of cacao drinks. Krissee will share a bit about the history of cacao drinks and the process of making chocolate. A grounding movement meditation practice will prepare us for a luxurious body scan relaxation practice, journaling & creative space, and time to share & discuss. There will be compostable cups available, but please bring a cup of your own. A pen and paper or your favorite journal will also be useful.

Take aways:
~ learn how chocolate is made and some of the history of the cacao drink
~ grow your sensitivity to the play of this superfood on the body and mind
~ create intention around the reciprocity of your relationship to food
