Chakra Tea & Yoga Retreat

Join Aly of Gratefully Rooted for a nourishing and restorative day of self study and exploration. We will explore the seven main energy centers in the body physically through our senses, emotionally and intellectually, and of course spiritually. Expect to enjoy and engage in lecture and lively discussions, journaling from specific prompts and guided contemplations and meditations, all level yoga practices followed by luxurious sound bowl savasanas, and specifically formulated herbal teas for each chakra. 

Please bring a lunch. Teas and infused water will be provided. 

1 hour lunch break from 1pm-2pm

Western Herbs for Skincare

In this experiential workshop, we will learn about common (somewhat local) plants & “weeds" that can be taken internally or used externally to support healthy skin. To really dive in, we will give ourselves natural plant-based facials with a few of Gratefully Rooted’s topical care products and learn how to make products at home that you love! Simple self-care practices will be shared to enhance the way we engage with ourselves through our daily routines and each participant will make an organic herbal infused oil to take home.

Cacao Drink & Yoga Workshop!

Did you know that "cacao" in its origin meant "food of the gods"? Join me and Krissee (of Riversea Chocolate) for this experiential workshop for those interested in creating a deeper relationship to the life force of chocolate in its pure form. We will connect to our bodies and open our senses with through a gentle flow class that will lead us into the intentional preparation and ingestion of cacao drinks. Krissee will share a bit about the history of cacao drinks and the process of making chocolate. A grounding movement meditation practice will prepare us for a luxurious body scan relaxation practice, journaling & creative space, and time to share & discuss. There will be compostable cups available, but please bring a cup of your own. A pen and paper or your favorite journal will also be useful.

Take aways:
~ learn how chocolate is made and some of the history of the cacao drink
~ grow your sensitivity to the play of this superfood on the body and mind
~ create intention around the reciprocity of your relationship to food
